Sorry for the lack of write-ups on Monday's selections, I have been flat out with university work the last few days, hence the lack of activity on here. However, we did kick off the week with a day of profit and Wednesday's bets complete with write ups are below.

14:45 Wolverhampton - DELEYLL 8/1

1 Point Each-Way

Deleyll ran an eye-catching race on return from a mammoth absence earlier this month and the booking of Adam Kirby for this contest suggests connections fancy their chances here. John Butler's gelding was bumped about in the opening stages of the race at Lingfield last time out and despite breaking perfectly well, found himself out the back three furlongs out, he was then forced to make his challenge very wide and wasn't given a hard time. He is sure to improve for that run and Kirby's experience will aid that improvement, taking over from an apprentice. He has an all-weather win to his name already and now makes his tapeta debut and there isn't any reason to suggest this drop back in trip should be problem.

18:45 Newcastle - HIGHWAYMAN 12/1

0.5 Points Each-Way (4 places at SkyBet)

Highwayman responded well when a hood was applied for the first time when second at Chelmsford behind a solid enough yardstick for the grade, Outlaw Torn, two starts back. He settled much better with cover behind runners and made headway past rivals two furlongs from home to finish second. He pulled hard again on his next start in a higher grade, but he was very exposed that day. If his more experienced jockey today, James Sullivan, can drop him in behind and get some cover, he may appreciate this drop down in grade and back to a mile. David Thompson's last runner at the track was a winner and this gelding looks to have a good each-way chance.
