14:15 Leicester - DYLANSEOGHAN 2/1
2 Points Win
Dylanseoghan looks a standout bet in what looks a fairly weak contest. His most recent run when finishing third behind Kincora Fort has worked out well, as well as being highlighted as a good on the clock, the third placed horse bolted up by 29 lengths on his next start. His previous second here at Leicester has also worked out well since and with Zoe Davison 2-2 in the last fortnight he looks worth a punt.
19:30 Chelmsford - ARNARSON 5/1
1 Point Win
Spare Parts has been one of the stars of the all-weather season so far, but upped in grade off a career high mark, he makes little appeal at odds of 2/1. Arnarson looks a worthy alternative, he's had excuses since bolting up at Wolverhampton and the manner of that success suggests he could be up to winning off this mark. He won by five lengths at Dunstall Park and did it very easily, on his next start he was given a poor ride and met plenty of trouble in running eventually he did well to finish as close as he did. His most recent start came in class 4 company at Kempton in a race where prominent racers were favoured and he was the only horse to make any sort of headway late on. He has the services of Martin Harley today and if the exaggerated hold-up tactics are avoided in this small field he could upset the likely popular favourite.
20:00 Chelmsford - EVANESCENT 9/2
1 Point Win
Admittedly a 0-11 all-weather record doesn't look great at face value for Evanescent, but he could finally register his first win on the sand today. He ran an absolute cracker finishing second, beaten a short head, to Rising Sunshine despite being drawn widest of the entire field. He reopposes the winner on better terms and from a better draw today, he could be hard to peg back on the front end. The biggest danger may be Harbour Patrol who races off the same mark as when winning at Wolverhampton making him 6lb well in.
