17:30 Chelmsford Having looked a shade unlucky over course and distance last time out Phoenix Star  looks worth chancing in this 7f handicap. He was denied a clear run at a crucial stage in that C&D contest but was doing his best work late on when in the clear, behind a progressive sort in the shape of Split Down South.  He is still unexposed over this trip and is much better than he showed when a long way behind Classic Star  (who is now 7lb higher) on his penultimate start, so I'm willing to forgive that effort. The Stuart Williams yard is flying at present operating at a 29% strike rate and this is a drop in grade so everything points to a big run from Phoenix Star. Phoenix Star 4/1  - 1 Point Win

15:10 Wolverhampton A piece of course and distance form from the middle of December links many of the runners in this 5f sprint, Dynamo Walt  came out on top that day but there were some hard luck stories in behind him and it would be no surprise to see that form turned on it's head. Tathmeen  looked very unlucky in that contest and he gets another go off the same mark, despite running another promising race at Newcastle since. He missed the break here on his penultimate start and ran on strongly after meeting traffic problems in the closing stages. He runs from 1lb out of the handicap but this should be run to suit with Reflektor  and Zapper Cass likely to press the early pace and Anthony Brittain's gelding looks worth a small investment. Tathmeen 7/1  - 1 Point Win

I'm back! It's been a while since my last post on here, starting a new job meant in October meant I haven't had much time for racing over the last few months, hence the long absence on the blog. I've settled in nicely now though and I've managed to find the time for racing recently and it's been going well so thought I would start sharing my selections again, a couple of bets on the sand at Lingfield to kick off a new decade for the blog. 13:00 Lingfield It's no secret how well Adam Kirby rides the track here at Lingfield and his presence on board Pactolus  will be enough for some to side with Stuart Williams' charge. But it would be a concern to me that this is his 75th career start and this will be the first time he has ever tried this trip, he has looked best over a mile and hasn't shaped as though this is what he wants. As I write this Kyllachy Gala has opened up as short price favourite and I think 2/1 is an absolutely bonkers pric...
