I've missed the fancier prices but I'm still willing to back SOPHIESTICATE here at 12/1 win only. She has been racing far too keenly over longer trips than this and the drop back to 1m1f should suit. Still 4lb higher than her Musselburgh win last year, but she won with some authority that day so this mark should be within reach. Despite never winning here, she has run well on numerous occasions and the market support this morning can be seen as another positive.
SOPHIESTICATE 12/1 - 1 Point Win

Loads in with a chance here but TILSITT looks overpriced at 33/1 with four places on offer accross the board. He's now back down to his last winning mark and I'm happy to overlook his reappearance run over an inadequate seven furlongs, which he looked like he needed anyway. He won twice last season but one of his most eyecatching pieces of form came when racing off this mark and finishing 3rd at Ayr, behind course specialist Gweedore (now13lb higher) and Orbaan (now 12lb higher). Next time out he won at Ayr and although he didn't win any of his next 5 starts he ran with credit on many and had excuses for others. The yard's horses are running well and I can see him hitting the frame at a nice price, and the win part of the bet is no forlorn hope given this is his last winning mark.
I'm also going to have YAASER onside at a decent price with the ground drying out in his favour. He's dissapointed a bit on his first two runs this season but that was the case last year before he won third time out at Musselburgh. Jim Goldie's gelding then rattled off a series of wins and 2nds shooting up the handicap as a result. His most recent win was August last year when beating Alrehb, that rival is now 12lb higher and despite racing creditably for the remainder of the season Yaaser finds himself only 2lb higher than that win today. He ran well in a class 2 at Ascot and was unlucky in running at Newcastle on the all weather when third off 81. Both his final two runs were excusable, being left with too much to do in races won by more prominent racers. He's worth a small each-way play too.
TILSITT 33/1 - 0.5 Point Each-Way
YAASER 25/1 - 0.5 Point Each-Way

CAPTAIN HADDOCK was a fairly blatant eye-catcher last time out so I'm surprised you can still get 3/1 on him here at the time of writing. He flew home late to finish 2nd last time after being caught too far back at Doncaster in a race which has worked out nicely, with the 3rd placed horse bolting up by seven lengths next time out, and the 4th winning by 5 lengths subsequently. Captain Haddock now returns to Hamilton in a race he finished a neck second in last year off a 9lb higher mark, with the additional bonus of Billy Loughnane's 3lb claim. His only other run at Hamilton was a 5 length win so he rates a decent bet to go one better than last year.
CAPTAIN HADDOCK 3/1 - 1.5 Points Win
